With a crew of five we set off for Bella Coola, a remote strip of land north of Vancouver. Getting to our host, a wilderness retreat called Firvale, required several flights, including a puddle jumper that had to be diverted to a nearby airport the size of a gas station.

Our goal was to capture photo and video for Huckberry’s Gift Guide – the page that fuels holiday sales. We were also on a mission to capture the spirit of “embrace adventure” – one of Huckberry’s five brand pillars and a focus of our holiday campaign.

After three days of searching for grizzlies, a helicopter ride to a remote glacier, and a sauna next to a mountain stream, our crew was reinvigorated. And thanks to our hosts at Firvale, we left with a few worthy stories and plenty of content for the holiday’s.
